TMB & Stop solution

TMB & Stop Solution are used for to evaluate your ELISA tests results.

At the end of each ELISA assay, to evaluate the test results, a reagent that reacts with Horseradish Peroxidase is required. TMB (3, 3′, 5, 5′-tetramethylbenzidine) is the perfect chromogenic substrate that produces a blue color during the enzymatic degradation of hydrogen peroxide by HRP and that has maximum absorbance at 605 nm where the color intensity is proportional to the amount of HRP activity...

TMB Substrate Solution for ELISA is recommended only for enzyme immunoassay peroxidase-based; it’s very sensitive to contamination from oxidizing agents and light sensitive. To avoid contamination do not never pipette directly from the original bottle and avoid contacts with any potential sources of contamination.

Addition of Stop Solution changes the blue colour to yellow (absorbance maximum at 450 nm), stabilizing the colour development to enable accurate measurement of the intensity at 450 nm using a spectrophotometer or plate reader. Stop Solution for TMB Substrate is 0.5M sulfuric acid intended for use with 3, 3′, 5, 5′-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) substrate.

Both Biomat’s reagents are ready-to-use and do not interfere with molecules used in the test.
