# Streptavidin Coated 96-Well Plates

A powerful and universal platform for binding any biotinylated molecule: antibodies, antigens, proteins, peptides, polysaccharides, oligonucleotides and DNA fragments.

Streptavidin's strong affinity for biotin allows robust and stable interactions, making these plates particularly valuable where passive adsorption is unreliable or where molecules may adsorb in an unfavourable orientation. Consistent, oriented binding is critical for assay sensitivity and accuracy in ELISA, nucleic acid capture and other biochemical assays. The high specificity of streptavidin-biotin binding also minimises background noise, improving signal clarity in complex assay systems.

Each of streptavidin's four subunits binds one biotin molecule.

## Stability

The streptavidin coating has been validated over 30 months in a non-air-conditioned warehouse (10–40°C), under transport temperature stress cycles, and against strong chemical contacts (SDS, formamide, Tween 20, NaOH, urea 8M). Unopened, stable at 2–8°C until the expiration date on the label. Once opened, store in a closed pouch with desiccant and use within the expiration date.
